Cindy Lee Grant – 63, Bible Hill, formerly of Brookfield, passed away suddenly, after years of health complications, on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at home. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late James and Jessie (Maynard) Grant.

Cindy worked at Stanfield’s for over 30 years. She was a kind hearted person who enjoyed talking and laughing with anyone that she met. Cindy was a long-time member of the Legion, Air Force Club and Truro Horsemens Club. One of her hobbies was playing darts which she enjoyed for most of her life. Her love for her nieces and nephews kept her going. She always loved her time with her best friend, Janice, who was there for her through everything. She was an avid animal lover and is going to be missed by her baby, Casper.

Cindy is survived by her brother, George Grant; nephews, Billy Grant, Brad Grant; nieces, Angela Grant, Dixie Grant, Tesha Grant, Kim Grant, Shawna Grant; several great nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Zane Grant.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Cindy’s family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, February 17, 2021. (Please use the front doors of the funeral home, wear face masks, register and practice physical distancing.) Private funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021; webcasting of the funeral service will be open to all and may be viewed from this site at 1:55 p.m., Thursday, February 18, 2021; this link will remain active for some time after the funeral.
